PVC, which stands for polyvinyl chloride, is a vinyl membrane roofing system. The vinyl used is created on the most basic level from fossil fuel and salt, two abundant resources. An extremely durable roofing system, PVC roofing employs heat-welded seams that form a permanent and watertight bond that is just as strong as the membrane itself. PVC is modified with plasticizers and UV stabilizers, and is reinforced with fiberglass non-woven mats creating a durable and flexible roofing membrane.
PVC roofing is usually applied in sheets, which can be either fastened or glued to the surface of the roof. These installation processes are called mechanically fastened or fully adhered. We can discuss both options with you if you are interested in the installation of a PVC roofing system.
If your commercial building already has a PVC roofing system installed, give us a call for all your repair and maintenance needs. We will be happy to offer you an assessment of your roofing system and help you put together a plan to ensure the longest lifespan for your roof. With a proper maintenance plan, we can ensure your roofing system continues to function efficiently. If your roof has already sustained damages, we can handle repairs to PVC roofing also.
